Triumphs this week - catching my breath each day to list my gratitudes!
Transitions - we are still transitioning to school and nursery - hoping for a more βnormalβ week this week but also accepting with neurodivergence comes big emotions! Magic lived in the space of accepting two specific offers for help which allowed me to reset a little. Also a camper van trip to the beach 10 mins drive away to heat up soup and watch the waves! πβ¨π
Mmmm triumphs this week - I know what day it is today π this week has also been significantly better for Rafi in his transition to big bro. The last few weeks have been a huge challenge for him but Iβve noticed a shift this week.
Also turns out trampolines are great for regulation for kids π
Challenges - when two kids need me at the same time!? What to do???? The mama heart
Trampolines are AMAZING regulation and great for BF on too!! β¨β¨π«. Ah I was / am totally in this. L needs me emotional but LJ is such a wild woman he goes quiet... β¨π
The triumph for us this week was Davy entering βboard gameβ age. Nathan & I love games and havenβt played in 4-5 years now, so seeing that spark of joy in Davy has been a real delight.
Our transition has been not having a sitter, but I think weβre actually finding our way with it all. We havenβt quite found a rhythm, but it seems possible.
This game was Quirkle. It's all about matching shapes and colors. We simplified the rules a bit, but he was loving it! At the end he wanted to just build with the tiles and we went with it, but there was quite a lot of focus and turn taking before that. We also have a pirate game he's showing interest in. I think it's made by a Target brand Chuckle and Roar so you may not have it in the UK.
It pays to be gentle in all of that doesnβt it! I found Luna a peppa pig game in a charity shop on hols - she loves it - doesnβt play by the rules at all but loves it! β¨β€οΈ
We also have a few of the HABA games. I'm getting the feeling it's time to bring them all out and give them another go. We tried last year and he wasn't ready to follow instructions yet, but just wanted to explore the materials.
Triumph: Iβve had 5 sessions at abbey road this week and every time I go I feel so tingly and grateful for being immersed in this history. My kids have had so many cuddles from me and I made a bolognaise they all ate!
also 3 client enquiries and a workshop where I cried after because I couldnβt actually believe all these women had invested their time and money in my workshop!!
Transitions: Iβve had 5 sessions ar abbey road which has been exhausting π weβre all A BIT TIRED
Our triumph is successfully completing a cross country move to be closer to family. We are surrounded by forest, living in the mountains, and getting used to the scenic views from our deck!
The transition is that shortly after we arrived, by husband got notice that heβd have to return to our previous location for work through the end of October. So Iβm holding down the fort with our toddler and lab- definitely a transition I wasnβt expecting after our big move!
Transitions... forever in transition at the moment it seems!! I just need a week to focus solidly on all my projects and I βmightβ feel like Iβm organised... but Iβm also softening into the fact that this is not possible in this season of motherhood!!!
Oh I need to get on watching that! Iβve been building ikea storage units today so I can declutter the room with the kids toys in. I feel so much better when I get to do that!
I had to laugh really when she came in because I was on a call talking about Motherhood and Business and I was like... well this is IT!!! π€ͺ
Triumph: I got all my chores done yesterday! Weβll except laundry, but thatβs always a Sunday thing for me. But yesterday I cooked brunch for me and my husband and then cleaned the kitchen and it felt good to care for my home that way.
Transition: ooof this new moon energy and summer ending. I go back to work mid-October and Iβm feeling a kind of frantic energy, like I have to get done anything that Iβve been wanting too before going back. I always really donβt want to go back and am having some hard feelings about the idea of leaving my little one for a whole day.
I'm hoping I'll be able to make it part-time. I usually work a full-time corporate job, but I have some paid state leave leftover since they just implemented. I'm going to try to see if I can go back just three days a week to start.
It's so lovely reading the comments of everyone's reality - so relatable. What's feeling good right now is bringing a bit of space into my mornings, a short meditation, a few crochet stitches or journalling. It's making a huge difference to how I am in the mornings too, calmer for everyone! I also ran my first Mini Retreat for Mums last Saturday, which was just amazing, so I'm still digesting everything from that and letting it all land. Transitions are that my husband started a new job so isn't around as much, so just adapting to a new routine really, but feeling proud of myself for coping with it all. Magic - standing outside for a few mins in the morning with my cuppa and noticing what's around me - makes me more conscious of the seasons and is just a few moments for me in amongst the morning chaos!

I want to come for a sleepover in the van...
Iβm going to try podcasting in there think it will be excellent π
The campervan trip to heat up soup and watch the waves sounds wonderful!
It really was A MOMENT! β¨π

Oh itβs so hard Kat and thereβs never a βcorrectβ answer, just βa responseβ in the moment I guess! Xx

Which games! And so hard not having a sitter Sarah x x

Chazzas are the absolute best for games! We love any of the games made by Orchaed

Yes, we simplified the rules quite a bit, but he was just finding joy in matching shapes and colors. Whereas before he just wasn't there yet.
Oh thatβs so special I love that Sarah!! β¨

Oh thatβs epic Mariah! Well done!! Champions!!! π π³
Oh Mariah so trying to settle, but feeling unsettled! What a lot for you all! X x
Triumph this week is getting through it!!! And also asking for help instead of trying to juggle it all! Iβve had a poorly little (biggest) one home and she decided to announce on a live Instagram I was doing with someone, that she had just been sick on the sofa! π©
Transitions... forever in transition at the moment it seems!! I just need a week to focus solidly on all my projects and I βmightβ feel like Iβm organised... but Iβm also softening into the fact that this is not possible in this season of motherhood!!!
Thank you for the check in! X
Ahhh I felt that wince as L walked into my sparkle call last Monday asking for a jumper and I was like βask your dadβ π
Iβve organised a lot of things that arenβt work this weekend - loads of nettles pulled out of the allotment and some new fridge containers for cheese! π§β¨π₯° It helps me feel organised and calm and Iβve watched my guilty pleasure βSort your Life Outβ with a hot chocolate! π€©

Haha this is it RIGHT here!!! β¨π₯΄π€·π½ββοΈπβ€οΈ
PS - hope everyoneβs feeling better? β¨
Yes she seems fine now and fingers crossed all the rest ok! π€π€π€
Oh gosh Lauren, how is everyone now π€’? X
Well my nervous system is a bit frazzled but everyone is ok!!!! Teething baby doesnβt help to add to mix! Xx

Ahh Kerani - Iβm the same with the chores and then I like to feel accomplished.
Ahh the back to work transition is super super tough - is it part time?
I'm hoping I'll be able to make it part-time. I usually work a full-time corporate job, but I have some paid state leave leftover since they just implemented. I'm going to try to see if I can go back just three days a week to start.

Ahhh hereβs to breathing in those moments of calm in the chaos - I LOVE the way you described that!! Thanks Jenna! β¨π« π²
Yes! It's surprising how even tiny moments can help. It's always chaos here!!
